The world
The paper valley
The hills are cut-outs of red paper.
A black path crosses them and disappears into the distance.
The jacket is taller than everything.
The neck
The waterproof zip runs all the way up to the top of the neck.
The print
Solid red and black shapes all over the jacket. Under the colour you can see the weave of the fabric.
The label
At the bottom, a black label with English text printed in red. It begins like this, “IT'S A MEANS, NOT AN END.”
The cuff
Elasticated cuffs and hem.
Agents' side
- We gave them
- only the colours, in words. The shapes of the print can be read as eyes, and we don't want eyes in the worlds.
- Out came
- a valley of red paper, and the jacket emerging from the horizon like a mountain.
- They threw out
- a plain full of holes that was uncomfortable to look at. Then the jacket in the middle of an empty background, which looked like the studio photo. Redone.
